We’re excited to welcome players and families back for another great season of Cape Breton West Minor Hockey!

IAs we get ready for the upcoming season, our goal is to make registration as simple and straightforward as possible. We’re looking forward to a successful season on and off the ice, filled with development, teamwork, fun and plenty of great hockey memories.

REGISTRATION — REQUIRED FOR ALL PLAYERS

All players must be registered for the upcoming hockey season with their home minor hockey association.

Whether you play out of Chéticamp, Inverness, Baddeck, Mabou, Port Hood or the surrounding areas, players must register with their home association.

A Spordle account is required to complete registration.

During the registration process, you will also have the option to register for Development Skates and/or Competitive Team Evaluations, should you choose to participate.

Team placement will be determined following evaluations. Players selected for a Competitive Team will then be moved to the appropriate Cape Breton West roster.

DEVELOPMENT SKATES — OPTIONAL / HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

Cape Breton West Development Skates will be offered prior to team placement and are optional, but highly encouraged.

Development Skates provide players with an opportunity to get back on the ice, work on their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. They are open to players interested in both Recreational and Competitive Hockey.

Please note: Development Skates are intended for players with previous skating and/or hockey experience.

EVALUATIONS — OPTIONAL / COMPETITIVE TEAMS ONLY

Cape Breton West offers Competitive Hockey opportunities at the following levels:

• U9 Advancing

• U11AA

• U13AAA

• U15AA

• U18AA

Competitive Team Evaluations are optional and are for players interested in being considered for a Cape Breton West Competitive Team.

Players must be registered for the upcoming season with their home association before participating in evaluations.

Following evaluations, players selected for a Competitive Team will be moved to the appropriate Cape Breton West roster.

Players who do not participate in evaluations will remain in their home association program.

New to Cape Breton West?

If you are a new player, you’ll need to create a Spordle account and player profile before completing registration.
